is wearing exactly matching earrings and necklace conidered tacky?

I bought this necklace that looks like a sunflower with all different colors and round earrings that were an exact match. My daughter informs me that they look to much alike and that its too much. what do you all think? Am i getting to dress like an old lady already?

I agree with what someone above me said: depends on how bright and how big. If it’s bold and noticable, then I would only use one or the other. Accesories should compliment, so be careful if it takes over your whole look. If you think it looks good and you like it–wear it!
